At fairs, I bring a curated selection of items, that are a mixture of party-season-appropriate pieces (You are allowed to self-gift as well you know?!) and pieces that can be worn year-round for a wide variety of gift-recipients. Some examples of what you might find:

Bring a larger shopping bag - sellers will likely give you a small paper bag (we like to look after the environment!) But lots of small paper bags can get hard to manage and aren’t the best in inclement weather, a larger shopping bag will leave your hands free to continue browsing.
Arrive early — you’ll get first pick before the crowd arrives.
